So people get closet, make-up, hair, clothing style, house make-over, but who actually comes out and works with you on your pantry, freezer, fridge? That’s what keeps you alive and unfortunately these days also not super healthy. Who stirs up your thinking process about the boxed snacks ?
Friends and families who know me, are well aware how I feel about food, eating out, ingredients, preparation, traveling, parties etc. I personally feel that anyone out there can benefit from a nutritional-make-over bootcamp. Yet, the majority of you love your comfort foods, snacks and drinks. You don’t want to remove them, even if it brings on heartburn, migraines, constipation, blood sugar imbalances, bigger waist lines, and sleepless nights. That’s why I call it the nutrition boot-camp. There is a lot we will do, discuss, debate and wonder together.
There are lots of fitness clubs and studios opening up month after month where we work out but what about our gut? Are we nurturing the right organisms? Are they working out for us? Is our immune system attacking us? Why do we suffer from autoimmune disorders, gut problems. As a Microbiologist and Research Scientist, I love those stinkers in our gut. They keep us healthy, put us in good moods, give us vitamins and calm us down. They can also do the opposite and that’s what we are experiencing these days as a society.
With my boot-camp you will remove sugar, grains, dairy, alcohol, caffeine for a minimum of 10 days. Trust me, there is enough out there you can eat in those days. During that time, you will record, what you ate and how you felt. I personally have never counted calories or measured anything out while living my life. During our time you will receive tips to stop thinking about calories. This is NOT A DIET, this is lifestyle modification which will lead to better dietary habits at the end. Out with the old and in with the new. Just like a closet make-over, right? Yes, I know you need your coffee and cocktails, me too!! You will get them back, don’t worry, but the sugar, grains and dairy, we will drastically reduce and swap out.
Step 1 is not just a detox time. We are trying to figure out what’s going on with your body. You will keep a food log with you at all times. Remember this is about you. We are not trying to impress anyone, except your gut organism. We will take it step by step.
That’s why I call it the 3 step program. Step 1–detox, reboot–10-14 days, while your are undergoing the detox we will look at your home pantry, fridge, freezer and make recommendations, we will shop, explore online restaurant menu (step 2). I want to give you the tools you need right away. After Step 1 and 2 you will have learned so much that implementing those changes might be so much fun when we will cook together (step 3). After your detox I will teach you about low carb, high fat, lectin-free foods and intermittent fasting that will make your health soar. I can’t wait 🙂
Week after week you will learn about saturated fats, raw milk and cheeses, fermented food, superfoods, adaptogens, using spices to soothe inflammation, lectin-free foods, the scoop about Roundup, corn, soy, don’t fear pasture-raised butter, pasture-raised eggs and meats.
