Step one is the hardest. Yes, I know eliminating sugar and grains is the hardest for most people.

Now that you have learned a lot about GMO’s, glyphosate, organic, conventional dairy and meat, vegetable oils, artificial sweeteners, and farm-raised salmon, let’s pretend eat out at various local restaurants via their online menu. Also, try to make these “eating out events” rare, as they are pricey and not healthy.

Eating healthy, nourishing foods when dining outside of our homes is challenging for all of us. Now that you have the skills and confidence you need to successfully stick to your healthy eating goals – whether eating out for fun, meeting family or entertaining colleagues.

In step 2 of our nutrition boot camp, you will confidently review a menu and identify better food choices.

Here are some tips for you while entertaining, attending parties, business lunches and church events.  Always think about your meals before you eat them and ask yourself, will this give me energy?  Will this fill me up? Make me feel good? Or will it make me crash, keep hungry or sluggish?

1.Review menus before you go out so you have an idea what to order or eat at home or at your desk first and then join the social event at the restaurant or party. Trust me at social events no one pays attention if you have a mini plate in front of you where you shuffle things from left to right.

2. Be the one who organizes the restaurant, maybe there is a farm to table restaurant in your town, if not make meals out of the sides or add ons in the restaurants

3. Bring your own home made meals to the event or restaurant and ask the staff to please present it on a plate when they bring out everyone’s order or do delivery to your office or party from your healthy online food prep organization

The new dietary lifestyle habits can feel really overwhelming at the beginning; it threatens to separate you from your favorite foods, drinks, rituals, and activities that you rely on for comfort and a sense of community. But keeping your social life up while learning about healing your body with foods is possible; just be creative and keep you goal in mind 🙂

Stay laser-focused and disciplined 🙂
